Saban loves to outscore people and put the onus on them to keep up. That's what Saban loves, and his team is designed for this very specific situation. You can't change the identity of an offense overnight, or over a month. Saban will run his normal offense because this is what they're designed for.

With OU's absolutely pathetic secondary that won't matter. And if you think Alabama cannot run out of a spread formation, might want to read up.

Does OU even recruit defensive players? Does the big 12 in general?

Clearly a flawed strategy. How can you win doing that?

Know how I know you don't know jack about Saban and Alabama?

Dumb statement is dumb.

What Saban loves to do is get a lead, preferably running the ball, and then use the defense to squeeze the opponent's offense until it breaks. That's his formula. This year, Bama's defense was going to be a big question due to depth and experience. Just so happened to have Tua able to step in and up the offense's output, but make no mistake the formula has only been modified, not changed. The current offensive line was built to maul in the run game and has had to work at improving at pass blocking.
