Ah man, make a day of it and drive up the 101. So many cool little towns along the way. And if you cut north after Santa Barbara into that national forest(forget hwy number, 150 I think) it's even prettier.

We're flying in around 5 PM, seriously considering driving up the 101, spending the night then finishing the drive the next day.
