I’ve never felt sadness about a president or any other dignitary passing until today.

I wish I had the pictures on my phone, my cousin works on the grounds crew at A&M and he is who used to fish with President Bush on campus.

Same.

Last of the WWII veteran presidents. Last of our grandparents' generation.
Lots of Houston and A&M memories added in.

But mostly, I've just always been struck by what a decent and normal guy he was who had real friends and wasn't isolated in the political bubble.
