I’d call Kliff Kingsbury or Hugh Freeze if I were Tech. Remodernize and do so with a guy who knows offense. Won’t ever be able to out recruit Kirby for defense in GA but could do well with an air raid concept with all the talent in state

This is what I told my Tech buddy a few minutes ago... Not that I particularly want to have to face either of those guys on the regular, but either would be homerun hires for Tech IMO and could bring some life back to the rivalry. They will have to essentially throw away 2 seasons or so to get there, but either of those guys should be able to recruit well enough to compete for their division in the ACC... KK would be the more optimal coach IMO... Freeze already got in trouble trying to recruit with the big boys once. Don't think they could get him, but if the Pirate were interested, he'd be another decent choice (Tech seems to like quirky).

It would make sense to go full Big XII air raid and ditch the middle school scheme.

I like the Kingsbury suggestion.

Leach would be a lot of fun, just think he’d hate living in Atlanta.

There's no reason Tech shouldn't be a competitive program. They need to get on a plane right now and fly out to see Mike Leach.

Think about all the advantages Tech has.

1. Great ACADEMICS with meaningful degrees
2. Easier league
3. Telling recruits they can live in Atlanta

Tech has always had a ton of potential, let's hope they don't screw this decision up and settle for some scrub.

Kliff Kingsbury might be a good choice but the roster is nowhere near ready for that offense.
