Officiating the TAMU LSU game

In the 2nd quarter, Kellen Mond clearly slides for a first down. The officials marked him 2 yards short negating the first down. The announcers couldn't believe it. It's amazing the Aggies won with referees against them.

Greedy was interfering all night as well. It's insane that we won that game having to play LSU and the refs

They said (the announcers, not a rules guy), that the spot is where the trailing part of his body (in this case his butt) is when he first "gives himself up". That seems to be pretty damn arbitrary to me, but OK. Thing is it STILL should have been a first down. Not crying about it, but that was a weird deal.

Agreed, but don't tell that to Shaw. He said they had some "tough calls" but they got them largely right.

Let's just agree that the officiating in the SEC is absolutely pathetic and has gotten worse and worse over recent years. The best conference in the country and we can't get officials worth a shite!
