This team is horrendous. Legitimately bad. Like KA era bad. Lacking athletes, lacking skill, lacking ball handling, lacking shooting.

Woof. Going to take a couple years to dig out of this.

Um it's not that bad. Mizzou was tied with a top 15 team until 2 minutes left in the half where KSU went on a 13-0 run. They're being outscored by 6 in the 2nd half.

This is without Tilmon who has been whistled for ridiculous shite all night.

KSU has also shot lights out all night.

Kim Anderson team? Did you watch a fricking KA team? They lost to fricking UMSL and got blown out by ranked teams by 30.

Jordan Geist is the best player on the team. We are terrible. Worst team in the SEC.

Cuonzo needs to get some athletes on the floor in the worst way.

Not even close. A&M, Georgia, SC and Mississippi are definitely worse Mizzou should compete with Arkansas for the 9/10 spot.

While I’ve always agreed with Jesus on Barry, Bball is not his area....?? side note, I’ve said all along that Giest is fine and is a good player. Like last year when surrounded by talent he can play 35 minutes a night and be a good guard. Not many teams can lose their best player and just be ready to roll. Basketball is about building as the yr goes on. No shame in who we’ve lost to thus far.

Guess you’ll just have to wait until conference play to see. This team has nothing on offense. They shot 57% from 3 and scored 67 points. The guy who should be their best player can’t ever stay on the floor. There are like 3 good athletes on the team. 1 can’t stop fouling and the other 2 are FR who have a long way to go. Nobody that can create their own shot. The two guys that handle the ball are consistently out of control.

They can get better if Watson makes huge strides and Santos is a stud. If not, they’ll win a few conference games at best and be battling for last place.

This team is bad. I think Cuonzo can dig us out, but it’s not going to be easy.

You need to watch SC, UGA, A&M and Mississippi all are worse than Mizzou. Mizzou is still only a 15ish win team, but not terrible.

I’d say 5 to 8 conference games. And only 8 if they develop some stuff.

It's too early to tell. Let's see how the young players develop, and how many bullshite fouls get called on Tillmon. But I'll go with 4 to 8. things would have to go really well to get to 8. Losing Jontay was a killer, but we weren't going dancing either way. We knew this would be a rebuilding year, and next year too unless we get some top 10 recruits

You mean Martin, the GOAT of all GOAT coaches, didn't bring us a top 10 team?

There's something to be said about the impact of losing your best player -- NBA draft picks, no less -- for the entire season in consecutive years.

Sure doesn’t help.

He’s the type of player that makes guys around him better also. Mark Smith has a nice stroke, but he really needs someone else to create that shot for him. Watson can be a guy that can create some offense but he’s not there yet. Pinson tries to create but he’s constantly out of control and he needs a lot of work on his handle. He’s very book or bust at this point. The team is very bad offensively, especially when Tilmon can’t stay on the floor.

Defensively, and I know that is Martin’s calling card, they lack athletes. Teams that have quick guards and get the ball moving side to side will give us fits with dribble penetration.

They top all of this off with turning the ball over WAY too much. It’s just a bad team with subpar talent. Hopefully Santos can be the guy the staff thinks he is. These next few recruiting classes need to be very good. Mario and Jackson should help next year. Dru Smith will be a huge addition also. I think we can be substantially better next year but this year is going to be ROUGH

This is a .500 or close to it team.
8-9 non con wins and 6-8 SEC wins
In SEC play Mizzou gets 2 against SC, Mississippi and Arkansas. Mizzou gets 3 or 4 wins there.
Other best chances at wins at home against Alabama and on the road against Georgia.
