So is GTs defense not good? Haven’t really kept up with them too much.

How good is the pass rush? That’s the biggest key to making Fromm uncomfortable and beating UGA. Stop the run, and get pressure without blitzing.

Tech is forcing a lot more turnovers this year. Partly due to luck (as is the case with turnovers in general) but also partly due to increased aggressiveness. We don't necessarily show it in sacks (15 for the year) but we are blitzing more and forcing things more than in past years. With the way college football is these days, sacks are not necessarily easy to come by.

Last year, Fromm did whatever he wanted to. From memory, I think he only completed 13-15 passes but threw for at least 230 yards).

From what I have seen is that GTs defense is improved from game 1 to now which is obviously what most first year coordinators want to see. It’s still not what it needs to be particularly at linebacker. Brant Mitchell and David Curry probably should be good depth pieces but they are starters. They sometimes take bad angles and they are not fast and athletic.

GTs Dline is actually pretty darn good. They have gotten some sacks this year which is more than we can say in previous years and Kyle Cerge Henderson plays with a nasty streak. St. Amour and Desmond Branch have been getting home a lot. If they are getting sacks they are collapsing the pocket and making QBs get off their spot.

I see potential in the GT defense with Nate Woody there. Nate is already familiar with UGA as well from the App state game last year, so Nate has a grasp of UGAs offense coming into this one.
