You are correct. But let’s be honest in 2018, they are culturally more like Tennessee and Kentucky than Missouri is. Missouri is more like Iowa Nebraska and Kansas than Tennessee.

It very much depends which part of Missouri you are talking about. No one will deny northwest Missouri being far closer to culture of the Midwest. Ozarks are their own and I imagine not really dissimilar to the appalachia areas. Really Missouri has quite a bit of variance to its geography.

Missouri is nothing like Kansas. If you think so, then the north is like the south to you too.
