Just the fact that the Georgia football program thought it better to play football than fight for the country.
So... you can't read. Congrats.
Look at the 1943 letter winners. Show me where those individuals were also on the 1942 team. That was your original premise, right? That because only certain teams played in 1943, that those schools lack patriotism?
Oh wait, I tanked that one for you, so then you tried to make excuses about how our 42 team was really the indicator, except half of the SEC finished the season ranked and 1/3 of the SEC finished ranked in the top 10. All of which were located in states that sent more soldiers to WWII than Florida, which was only ahead of South Carolina and Arkansas.

I am sure coach Butts would be all for kneeling these days if he were around.
Hilarious... Perhaps taking a victory knee in the first quarter against Florida would have been better?

Heisman trophy winner that can't pass a military physical. He can play in the NFL though.
The military makes the call on who they accept and reject. Flat feet during WWII were considered a rejectable "medical condition", largely due to the anticipated issues with sustained periods of marching and the foot mechanics required.
It had nothing to do with not being able to pass a physical you dipshit...
quote:
… 1942 Heisman winner, Frank Sinkwich from Georgia, was in the Marine Corps when he won his Heisman, but he was discharged soon after due to flat feet. … Frank Sinkwich did not receive a trophy because wartime restrictions precluded the use of the metal necessary to create one. Therefore, Sinkwich and all other wartime winners received certificates to honor their accomplishments instead. Once the war was over and the restrictions were lifted, the actual trophies were created and given to the winners.

Sinkwich joined the Military after his college career you shite for brains. He played in '41, '42, and '43.
Then he tried to join the military and failed the physical. This was after playing his junior year (1942) and senior year (1943). Then after 2 years in the NFL, he joined the military. What the frick? It's a miracle! His flat feet grew arches!! Hallelujah!!
