LSU was never going to be a perennial national title contender, not even with Saban. I see all the time, oh, he'd be doing this at LSU.
No he wouldn't.
The football programs have been on different levels since they began playing football.
And the whole, he won't win at Bama narrative was then trying to convince themselves of that. They knew what was coming, oh yes, they knew. It's why they went shitefit crazy the day Bama signed him. They are still insane about that. They then hung onto the Texas longhorns hope for about 8 years until it became obvious to them that not only was Texas not a better job, hell, it wasn't as GOOD as Bama. Not in football.

Then again you may be one of the many bama fans that think "bama" made Saban
