Question about CFB Football Ranking.

Let's say Kentucky beats Georgia, and then meet Alabama for championship. Alabama beats them. Michgian, ND loses a game each. Do we see Oklahoma and Washington State getting in.. or Florida moves ahead of them?

Okla makes it in that case. Best offense and best tradition since they are a true Blue Blood.
It's ALL about ratings and selling their product to TV advertisers. I don't care what anyone says. UCF's of the world will never have a shot, even if they had the SOS of LSU or Auburn. This is exactly how TCU dropped from 3 to 6 even after winning by 50. Ohio St., come on down.

Handicapping 101 for ya:
On Sun., sharps that are regulars at the main books in Vegas get first crack at what are called "virgin lines" before the books ever get to post them. They can only wager $500 per game during this time. Oddsmakers THEN see which way the sharps bet and make slight adjustments accordingly.
Once lines are posted for everyone, the actual money discrepancies move the lines so that the sportsbook managers can balance out their books / action. Sometimes that might even mean calling another book to see if they want to take some of their risk off of one particular game if it is too much one sided action.

Are you saying it’s impossible or too unlikely?
A 2 loss team could get in under the right circumstances. It’s less likely with an undefeated like UCF out there.

a 2 loss conference champ can get in with a strong enough schedule. I suppose it is possible for a 2 loss non conference champ, but unlikely.
