You can hardly call him head coach material at all based on his record. I'd be happy with a different coach but I know it's not realistic to fire someone after his first season. I think he'll get a least three before he's fired, maybe four.

again, looking at his overall record is just fricking lazy. he built up a dogshit program to respectability before he left. if he increases wins at that rate here he'll be fine. A new coach is supposed to build programs, is that not what he did at SMU? That's what he should do here, if he doesn't, he'll be fired, but he should get at least 4 years to do it, like any coach should.
