Why are church people forgiven their sins every Monday-Saturday?

And relinquish their sins on Sunday?

Maybe stop being hypocritical during the week, and the whole process would stop.

Ever thought about that?

Monday-Saturday is not that long.

Especially when all things are "wiped clean" on the Sabbath.

Just some rednecks who went to church on Sunday, but then drank all day and got arrested for meth.

They will be back in church on Sunday, just in time for their other meth-head family member to pay bond upon realization that they need to "get things right."

Repeat Sunday.

Because church is a money maker for suckers like that.

You think that's what GOD really wants?

This is why I doubt religion. It's a 1.2 trillion dollar business in society.

A church that accepts everyone, unfortunately.

People don't like, or want, to live by standards any longer.

The people who go to church are probably more shady than the ones that don't. Some church goers use it as a front to look all pretty on the outside. News flash.....you can polish up a terd all you want, but at the end of the day, it's still a terd.

Any of y’all ever say, oh please God, just let him hit this field goal ????
And the he hits the goal post. That’s cause you were screwing your sister instead of being in church. Ask MaZoo. Doink

Because eventually, they will get tired of the wash/rinse/repeat cycle and finally go all in on God.

Once that happens, your guilt changes from “I am going to try hard not to do X anymore” - to “I don’t ever care to do X ever again”. Then the temptation disappears and never returns.

I have seen it happen hundreds of times in my life to hundreds of different people.

Sadly, it’s far from the majority of Christians. In fact, I would guess that 90% of people in church don’t live any different than the rest of the world and are probably more miserable than the people that don’t go to church at all. Because they keep doing stuff they want to stop and feel guilty all the time.

But the “other” 10% In church that know Jesus are the most happy, nonjudgmental, loyal, peaceful, joyful people you will ever meet. Too bad there are so few of them. It’s probably even less than 10% of them.

Why is that unfortunate? Do you know anything about the Jesus of the bible?

If you truly believe in things like confession, then you will believe that a half-assed prayer on Sunday doesn’t clear the slate. If you’re truly sorry for sins, and make a real effort to change, then it is a genuine forgiveness. I’m not particularly religious, but I was raised Catholic. I think I had a pretty good understanding of how it was “supposed” to work. At least I had a better understanding than some of the hypocrites I used to go to church with.
