I remember after the KY game, LSU fans were all over us. I said we lost but we were down 2 of our best defenders. I was told thats football and how bad we sucked..

Now look, an entire fanbase is melting away over 1 player being out for a half. I guess players being out DO matter

It absolutely matters, but it's not just that.

It's a 1st year coach with a team full of new players trying to learn their positions and scheme against a 3rd year head coach who is with all of his own players in a system that's a few years old.

Next year we're going to kill Kentucky, bookmark this. Once Mullen gets his players in his system, we're going to be a force.

I literally quoted that part.

I'm saying our situation wasn't even just a single player, it was two of our best defensive players on the front 7 + a new coach, + an entirely new system. So that they're complaining about that one player shows their lack of situational awareness.

We are a tough out now. Once we get a Mullen QB, UF will be romping teams again
Im amazed at the improvement of this team from last year. We currently have 3 very good LBers lined up along with some OL help and a few top DBs are leaning our way. Idgaf about class rankings, if we fill those needs, watch out.

Steele, Elam, Chester, Kimbrough

Diwun, Hopper, Diabate

Ooooh man. Diwun is 5-star talent, too, just getting absolutely raped by the ratings agencies because 1. he's committed and 2. he's focusing on his grades.

LSU is not beating Bama either way . At best the team are even besides Bama has a very good QB at LSU doesn’t have a QB.

I wish we could get that Kentucky loss back . I think we beat them if we played now .

I don't think you can ever say that about LSU. They've had some bad years, but I definitely think they are really, really looking at this game.

Alabama hasn't played a team worth its salt so far outside of maybe Texas A&M.

So far, the SEC teams they've played have a combined record of 5 - 15.

It's very possible they get caught sleepwalking.

They wouldn't even keep it within ten if we had our best defensive players on the field.

I think Bama / LSU is close for a lik while as both will be fired up but LSUs offense isnt built for shootouts and their D will tire late as Bama pulls away

Im thinking Bama 37 LSU 23 ish

We cant play "what ifs". The real reason we lost to UK is that we took the game for granted and they punched us in the face.

Now, I agree that today we would beat them...they are a very good team...Stoops has molded them into a team that plays hard nose football.

The loss served as a wake up call for our team and they then realized you have to be tougher than the other guy. It isn't easy winning SEC games. The team has responded well to Mullen and staff...we now are the stronger team late in the 4th qt. We have improved every game. Even Vandy taught us to keep fighting and the lesson might come in handy down the road.

I was optimistic (as usual) back in the summer that this team would exceed expectations...we returned so many of our 2017 team. Mullen didn't have an empty cupboard, all he had to do was coach up the team and have them buy in.
Of all the new hires Mullen stands out. What he has done for our offense is a breath of fresh air.

Grantham has made our defense lethal with the aggressive style he has brought....OCs have to work hard to plan protection schemes against him. I can clearly see that the defense is having fun and enjoying football.

Bama isn't going to get sleep-walking against fricking LSU. This is their biggest game of the year

Bama owns that fanbase. January 2012 broke them.

When you win every single game by 20+ points and people are calling you the best team ever, it's very easy to caught up in your projection of yourself.

Did you think Georgia would sleepwalk vs. LSU?

No? Well gee golly willikers. Crazy how that can happen.

Tyrie Cleveland on Dan Mullen’s play calling: “That guy right there’s a genius.”

Players are all in

Playoff contender weaknesses

How many UF fans thought we would be playoff contenders at this put? Not me!

Dan and crew are killing it. UK is a much better team than everyone thought (they are playoff contenders too) and they caught UF early and without our defensive MVP David Reese.

Feleipe Franks is in the top 3 - 4 range of SEC QBs by almost every measure that I have seen. He is not Tebow but he is not well... Feleipe Franks of the Mac era.

You will now draw the wrath of Straw! It is forbidden to speak positively of Franks and you will be punished with useless facts and reasons why this is not true. Your punishment will begin in 5,4,3,2,1..................
