Why is alabama so scared of playing LSU’s full roster?
Posted on 10/21/18 at 11:35 am to John Milner
LSU won’t lose because devonwhite isn’t playing. They will lose because all they could muster against us was one touchdown

No he didnt
Yes he did. Davis sat out the first half of the Tennessee game. Had he been ejected from the game for punching that Mizzou player, he would have sat out the first half against Tennessee as well.
Saban gave him the same punishment an ejection penalty would have given him.

If White was guilty of targeting, then the Gump player who knocked out the Tennessee QB was DEFINITELY guilty of it. Player safety and all that.

Like the Alabama player who targeted the Tennessee QB and got away with it?

Maybe they'll review that by next season
This needs to happen. There is no allowance for accidental vs intended contact. It all gets the same overly severe punishment

But he didn't get ejected. Therefore the penalties are not the same

The replay booth is controlled from Birmingham.

We have been over this. The reason why no flag was thrown against Wilson and the SEC office didn't call up to Knoxville for a review of Wilson's hit is because Wilson actually used proper form when he hit the Tennessee QB. He wrapped up with his arms and planted his helmet firmly against the QB's chest. There's going to be a little helmet to helmet contact with a hit like that but it's nothing flagrant.
White did not wrap up. Had he done so, no flag would have ever been thrown.

the penalty was called (justifiably)
No way that should have been ruled as targeting. One of the absolute worst calls of all time.

It wasn't targeting, you moron.
Generally it's an ignorant man that can't debate a point without personal attacks.
That aside, it doesn't matter whether you or I think it was targeting. The official made the call.

Both were treated the same and that's all that matters here. Either way...we clearly did not need Davis as the score was 51-14 when he finally got into the game.

How did they arrange for White to commit this penalty?
He didn't commit the penalty. It wasn't targeting. If that was "targeting," then the hit on the Tennessee QB by the Gump player was DEFINITELY "targeting."

White was ejected. Saban “talked” to Davis and put him back in 2 snaps later. Then when the stink was raised suspended him for the 1st half. He still played the rest of the game he lost his cool in. They are not even close to being the same

Weak call. Bama player threw haymakers and crickets ..

The basis of your post was ignorant. It deserved the treatment it got from me.

The fact that White was called for targeting in the 4th quarter of a game right before the biggest game of the season, and the Gump player who knocked out the Tennessee QB on a MUCH more egregious hit was not called for targeting is simply more evidence of who the officials favor in this league.

That's not true and you know it.

The Gump player wrapped up. The LSU player did not.

The college football targeting rule, RETARD:
quote:
No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent (See Note 2 below) with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul (Rules 2-27-14 and 9-6). (A.R. 9-1-4-I-VI)
Note 1: "Targeting" means that a player takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball. Some indicators of targeting include but are not limited to:
Launch—a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area
A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground
Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area
Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet
Consider your argument OBLITERATED, thank you come again
