God only knows I'm not a Gus Nut Hugger like some individuals in this forum are, but if we fire a President for reasons of athletics, we've dived into the Black Hole of Calcutta and will never climb our way out.

I'm not a Leath fan by any means, but he should be judged on the performance of the University itself and not its athletic department.

(And I don't have great hopes that his performance in the area of University adminstration will be good either.)

I get your point but a president shouldn't be injecting himself into athletics if he doesn't want to be fired for athletics.

Spending + $30 mil to fire him “eventually” spills over to academics, or it least it should! If all the money pouring into college football doesn’t help the institutions academically what is the point?
