They prevented LSU's defense from getting a sack for the first time since 2014

I didn't even realize this. The OL has really stepped up. Mullen has done some work

Gotta give some credit to Franks for muscling a few out with players draped all over him.

But the OL definitely stepped up and have him a clean pocket most of the night.

You gotta give a lot of that credit to franks. He was under pressure all game long and avoided big sacks. To be fair I would have rather him taken that sack in the third than throw that int.

Ol is improving tho. Especially run blocking.

If you have watched our last few games, there is a pattern to what we do. We are still not strong enough on the OL to just knock a strong DL off the line early in games. But we slowly but surely start getting them tired from trying to pass rush and Franks throws quick short passes so they come up empty.

In the second half we start the boa constrictor tightening around teams throats and slowly strangle them. Franks took a helluva of a beating early on...LSUs defense was solid and a few times he slowly got back up.

Last year he would have been killed at 215 lbs. He wasn't good at times but he was good enough to beat them with some key passes and the throw back to him by Krull was awesome. Mullen pulled another trick from his book. I mean....how many teams have a 6'7" tight end throw that pass? 0?

When we face UGA the same thing happens...we start slow and the OL will have hard time opening holes or pass blocking that well...then we slowly wear down the dawgs and I think a lot of credit goes to our S&C coach Savage for our ability to prosper in second halves while the other team wilts.

We out rushed LSU by a 215 to 180 mark, but part of that was lost sack yds by our defense. QBs don't stand a chance if they have to throw and we know it.

I like the boa metaphor. Will be interesting to see if that works on Uga.

They oughta be improved given the monsters they face in practice.
