Next week is the Tip-off at Toomer's.
1 month from today the season starts with South Alabama.
Decent OOC schedule this wear. Washington is coming to town the second game of the year Nov. 9. Maui Invitational starts Nov. 19 with Xavier (Duke, Gonzaga, Arizona, Iowa State, and Illinois). @ UAB in the BJCC Dec 14. @ NC State on Dec 19. A couple of decent mid majors in Dayton and Murray State.
Ranked about 10-12 in most preseason polls
Should be a fun season

This thread needs to be bumped more. This football season is fricking over. Basketball is all we have to look forward to now. That's what having a respectable coach vs a complete dumbass does.

Its going to be a fun season for sure. We should be a better team for sure, but the SEC is also going to be tougher this year. Kentucky is going to be a juggernaut, Tennessee is a great team, LSU, MSU, and Florida are all threats as well.
Both sides of the ball should improve with the added inside presence and depth.
Pearl says the offense is looking better than last year and, unlike Gus, Bruce tells it like it is and doesn't just say stuff like that. Like you said,
You wouldn't think so bc he was such a good scorer, but losing Mustapha could actually benefit the offense. There's a lot of ball movement in Pearl's offense and Mustapha's game doesn't fit that, he holds onto the ball and that interrupts the flow of Pearl's offense. Heron also had a tendency to have his worst games in the biggest most important games.
He was an awesome defender and we might miss him on that side. Purifoy is a solid defender though and when you factor in Wiley, getting McLemore back, Okeke with a full yr in the program, and having a beast SR like Horace Spencer to come off the bench. That frontcourt is going to be stout af.
