Thought I heard this on a podcast the other day but not sure if this is correct and wanted to see if any of y’all knew. Some of you frickers know your crootin pretty good.
They said that zero kids have signed with UA-F from LRSD since 2004. Not sure if true, but damn.
I know most great athletes get recruited out of LRSD to surrounding school districts or private institutions, but there has to be athletes down there, just look at the high level of basketball talent.
We can’t keep relying on the slow white boys of NWA to beat Bama.

NLR has been decent but Central has been trash for a while now. Wouldn't really surprise me if there just wasn't any SEC talent coming from LR.

Just goes to show that football isn’t all that important in the largest school district in the state of Arkansas.
This affects all State Universities and their football programs

I'm not sure that's accurate, but don't have desire to go look up 15 years worth of recruiting classes to back it up.
It's amazing how bad the football in LR has gotten. I never thought I'd see the day where Central is completely irrelevant. I remember when they won back-to-back AAAAA state titles in the early 2000s and destroyed Springdale in the playoffs in Mustain's junior year.
Hell, the last time we won the West we had a defensive line entirely comprised of players from Little Rock.
I heard someone say one time that Gus not only may have put the nail in the coffin of Razorback football, he may have been responsible for the demise of Arkansas high school ball as well. Other coaches took note of his offenses at Shiloh and Springdale, read his book, and largely stopped focusing on the run game and line play. I'm not sure the person who said that was off base.

They have a win over Rogers Heritage (ranked 109th... in the state of Arkansas) and evidently their game against Rogers was cancelled which goes as a tie. Other then that they've lost their other three games this year by a combined total of 108-15. Saying they are irrelevant is an insult to the good name of irrelevant teams.
I don't know if Gus ruined high school football in the state but the days of Arkansas high school football being all about lining up and just whipping the other team does seem to be a thing of the past.
We are a spread/finesse state now for the most part.

The athletes are all over the place, just not playing the foosball

In fairness, the best players in LR always end up attending other schools. There's definitely a problem, but we forget that NLR, PA, Bryant, etc didn't produce as much talent 30 years ago.

Probably, but like '6 degrees of Kevin Bacon', Gus ruins everything in 3 degrees or less.

What does Footloose have to do with liberal LR ruining their own school district?

I was going to ask what falls under the LRSD because we definitely sign players from the Little Rock metro area.

Central, Hall, JA Fair, McClellan, Parkview
North Little Rock and Robinson are where players have grouped up in recent years.
