Why do UGA fans of all people think this is on Dabo? We watched for years as Richt was loyal to older players vs more talented new players. Dabo went with the better QB and Bryant got pissed.

Because Dabo named the Freshman the QB over the established senior and Lawrence has looked like hot garbage all day until he got hurt.

Dabo should have just kept playing them both there was no reason to name Lawrence the starter.

yeah just a tough situation.

i dont blame Dabo for making the decision, and I cant blame Bryant for wanting to play. Hard to tell a successful starter to suck it up and sit on the bench.

Lots of college coaches, most I'd say, understand the wisdom of playing upperclassmen ahead of freshmen. Freshmen, even the most talented ones, make more mistakes and that cancels out some of the talent advantage. And just as importantly, sitting established veterans in favor of hotshot newcomers runs the risk of creating bad team chemistry, and sometimes hurts depth when the bypassed players leave. That's the head coach's job, to weigh those factors correctly.

I keep hearing that, but Bryant has already saved Clemson once, and Lawrence has looked like crap today.
