Saban did the same with Tennessee. It's understandable. One mistake due to confusion with uniforms blending could lose you a game, and Red/Blue and Crimson/Orange could do that in a split second.

Cool to see though.

uhhh wut? We didn't lose those games because of uniform confusion, we just sucked. I think kirby wanted to flip the mojo a little, had nothing to do with any kind of confusion. I really loved the idea and still think it's cool, but I was pretty tired of it after seeing us go 0-3 in it.

I have nothing but my own thoughts to base this on, but I think that perhaps that's why Coach Vaught stuck with the powder blue helmets at Ole Miss. They were originally a mistake in the order, but no one else that Ole Miss played at the time was likely to have a helmet that color. Cuts down on possible confusion.
