The new voice of Aggieland - Andrew Monaco?

I just remembered that Dave South is gone, and this is the first year of Andrew Monaco taking over radio duties. I haven't had a chance to listen yet, since I just remembered, so I'm wondering if any of you guys have tuned in? Thoughts?

He's been fantastic 
I'm biased (Monaco did the Spurs' TV pre and postgame shows for a LONG time, so it's actually left a lot of local fans wondering if his replacement can fill his shoes), but man, he brings a lot of passion and energy to the broadcasts (in addition to being quicker on the draw as far as describing the action on the field).
By all accounts he's loving Aggieland, too. Community really embraced him. Gonna miss him on the Spurs side but I'm happy he's still on-air talent for one of my sports followings.

Excellent, sounds like he's going to be a good fit then. 
I'm going to tune in this next saturday for a bit. I imagine he will be a nice reprieve from gary danielson blowing nick saban & alabama.

Yep, listened to the 1s Q on the way to the airport last Saturday. Very refreshing to actually know what is going during the play. Was a major... MAJOR... upgrade on announcing front.
Should have made the switch decades ago.

i think they had tech problems with the video stream so will johnson was replaced with the radio stream. they should just sync monaco with every watchespn broadcast from now on. that dude knows basketball. im tempted to mute the tv tomorrow and listen to him for the football game.

It's his bread and butter. He was the only reason I'd ever tune in to watch the Spurs' cheesy local pregame show
