Not sure the weight of a gallon of gas, but a gallon of water weighs 8 pounds.
8,000 x 8 = 64,000 pounds on load.
That's 32 tons.

I think gasoline is slightly lighter than water, like 6lbs per gallon or something, but then you got the truck itself, plus the tank which has heavy duty space dividers to keep the gasoline stable during transport.
