The Chiefs finally have the franchise QB they've been looking for since Len Dawson.

Go Chiefs!!

frick any snowflakes willing to stop watching the NFL because of a knee in the grass and because of a president who is still salty about the NFL rejecting him years ago.

I don't watch the NFL but it has nothing to do with that.

1. They fricked my city

2. The rule changes have made it almost impossible for defensive players to actually play football.

St Louis is a baseball town.

Football Cardinals and the Rams were never treated like a city that loves football.

KC is much different NFL football City

That's not true. When the Rams were actually trying to win they had great support. If the Chiefs gave up for over a decade they would see declining attendance as well.

That's really not relevant to my point though. They had no intention of keeping the Rams in St Louis, but still allowed the dog and pony show and let the city spend millions of dollars in an effort to keep them when there was no chance. Completely disregarded their own guidelines in the process.

A product has to be pretty entertaining to get me to watch when I have no rooting interest and the NFL just isn't. To me anyway. I've watched very little the last few years.

I stopped watching the nfl 10 years ago. I can’t spend two days every weekend just watching football and i chose saturdays.
Since the nfl allowed an a-hole to kill the team in my hometown and shite on us on the way out claiming it was our fault they hadn’t had a winning season in 15 years. I chose the right day to watch football on the weekends.
As far as kneeling, I’d rather people kneel than riot in my city.

Stank Kroenke purposefully tanked that team. frick that man. Killed my interest in having a team to root for. Now I just have QBs I like to watch and teams I hope fail.

Oh FFS, this narrative again.

..and no shite KC is an NFL city. You had one of the greatest owners in all of sports and his family continues to run the program. Whereas we had three of the worst ever.

I mean...one of them changed the locks on his head coach's door before telling him he was fired.

They did, the 80's says hello. Attendance did drop too, probably averaging about 40,000 a game. Seats were easy to get and cheap, just the nature of the beast. With that being said , KC is defintely a football town though, which takes nothing away from St Louie.

No, that's not true. I've lived in both towns. Huge difference in the attitude towards their NFL football teams.

St. Louis is and always has been a baseball town
Kansas City is and always has been a football town.

The easiest way to notice this is casual conversations with town strangers.

In STL, you'll hear someone ask out loud what the score of the Cardinals game is. That is far more common than asking about Rams or football Cardinals.

In KC, you'll hear someone ask out loud what the score of the Chiefs game is. That is far more common than asking about Royals.

Yeah, I hate Kroenke for what he did. But we all need to face up to the facts. LA is the #2 market in the country, and STL is a dying town.

When I moved to STL in 1983, it was a mini-Chicago with multiple Fortune 500 companies. All of them are gone now. Moved, merged and move, or out of business, and next to nothing has replaced them.

I came here because I sent my resume to both KC and STL and there were far more opportunities here. The exact opposite is happening now. NONE of my kids are coming home because there isn't any opportunities here.

By this logic its totally ok for the royals to leave, and kc deserves that to happen to them.

Look, I get moving the team to LA because its like hitting the jackpot. Its EVERYTHING they did to this city that I hate them for it. They didnt need to lie, over and over. And fake their way to LA by telling us they plan on keeping the rams so that way we keep buying tickets. You know STL wasted several mil coming up with stadium proposes, all while stan and co were dead set on leaving. If you think STL folks are pissed only because stan wanted to make more money, you're wrong.

Oh please. It's about intensity of the fanbase. The Royals have won twice as many championships as the Chiefs, yet football is king(dom). Just because the intensity is higher for one does not imply the other is non-existent. My reply was to the statement that Chiefs and Rams fan intensity was the same. That is false.

And I've spent 35yrs watching this town shrivel up like a raisin.

It started when General Dynamics left and Seven-Up got bought up and moved to Dallas. Did you even know they were HQ'd here?

There was a time when your Financial Adviser could invest in Mutual Funds that were exclusively STL. Ralston-Purina, Emerson Electric, May Co., A-B, SW Bell, Brown Shoe, Monsanto, McDonell-Douglas, General-American Ins., Pet, Boatmen's, Malenkrot, AG Edwards, Credit Systems, and more. Those days are gone.
