Has agim lived up to his 5 star billing?

Agim is very legit and will be drafted.

The defenses you listed have Agim’s all up and down there lines with multiple DL’s drawing double teams on every play, or legit OLB that draw a massive blocking presence creating more one on one opportunities for the interior line.

Arkansas doesn’t have that right now. You’ve got Agim and a plethora of okay talent and that’s about it.

I thought he looked pretty damn good the first two games.

First, you need to understand what an interior lineman’s #1 job is. It’s to garner a double team to allow your LBs to roam and make tackles. Agim is playing mostly inside, so he isn’t going to do what you want him to there. Most of his snaps are at DT. Sacks aren’t going to happen. His job is to plug his gap, draw a double, and make the tackle if they come through his hole.

A DT is shading the center and guard, head up on guard, or shading the guard and tackle. His job is to make contact with both of in the gap.

He draws doubles in the middle which is why Dre and Scoota are able to make so many tackles. It’s why Dre had 10 first quarter tackles against EIU.

It’s the things you don’t seem to understand, that make him a lot better than you think he is.

And as I stated above, damn near everyone on those guys defenses that are on the front four deserve a double team and will get more one on one opportunities.

Agim is the only legit down lineman we have that gets double team attention. Damn near every play.

So basically you’re saying that Agim is a disappointment because he can’t consistently beat a double team.

In Alabama’s defenses case, they have 3 legit DL and the. Two legit outside LBs that essentially makes it 5 DL in the box. That means most of your DL are seeing one on one opportunities which creates more opportunities for them to beat their blocks and make TFL.

It’s pretty easy to understand, you’re just failing to do so and attempting to call out one of the only legit D players we currently have on roster.

I know he gets double teamed. I also know most other elite dlineman get double teamed too and it doesnt matter they still make a play sometimes. Also when we send extra pressure and he does get one on one chances he hasn't been able to make plays. Again hes a solid contributor but he has not impressed the way you would think the no. 3 defensive end in the country coming out of high school would.


Ed Oliver plays at fricking houston. You think he doesnt see a double team? Up until this point in his career i would take Jake bequette tenarius wright Darius Philon and trey flowers over agim

Some of you guys are forgetting that at certain times in the first half, before he was gassed from lack of depth in the 4th qtr, he took over the game and got pressure, sacks, and deflections. Rewatch the 1st half.

I was saying all of this stuff about him, but yesterday at half time i called my friend and was telling him this was the 1st time i seen him playing like he should be.
