Broyles, a former great coach who became the worst micromanaging AD in college football history. And then it evolves into a story about an Arkansas good ole boy money network, who Broyles allowed to begin controlling him.

In the early 80’s Frank Broyles fired Lou Holtz. That’s before Holtz went to Notre Dame and won a natty. Holtz was fired for….doing a beer advertisement?...supporting Jesse Helms for Senate?... I don’t think anyone really knows. Arkansas media covered it up.

Broyles micromanaged Ken Hatfield so badly that Hatfield was trying like crazy to leave his own alma mater. He thought he had the Georgia job after 1988 and then finally bolted for Clemson a year later. Arkansas media covered it up.

Broyles hires Jack Crowe.
Unqualified.
How do you do that? How do you actually hire someone who is unqualified? How?
Arkansas media covered for them as long as they could.

Broyles hires Danny Ford. Literally a coach who absolutely did not give a crap. He was bored. So he took the job. Arkansas media loved it. Began pro-Ford propaganda until the last minute, etc.

Broyles let’s a “committee” hire the next coach. The “committee” was a rubber stamp for a real estate guy who used to play for Broyles, who by the way, is notorious for screwing over tenants in his rental properties.

"They" hire Houston Nutt.
Unqualified. Another one. Unqualified.
Arkansas media covered it up.

We finally land Bobby Petrino after a decade of Houston Nutt sneaking into our bedrooms at night and molesting us in our sleep.

What does the Arkansas media do? They go ballistic and declare war on Petrino from day one because he’s not Gus Malzahn. That’s the actual truth. “Motorcycle wreck happens.” And the one time the Arkansas media should have covered something up,…they don’t. They slit his throat out of petty jealousy and hatred instead, many of whom wanted attention from their overlords in the national sports media.

Jeff Long hires an alcoholic named Bret Bielema. Media rolls with it until the last month or so.

Long is fired and the good old boys are back.

They hire Chad Morris before they even hire an AD replacement. Chad Morris. With a 14-22 record at SMU. Media currently just staring full cover up mode for Morris.
