With the game drawing closer, I was thinking back to some of my favorite games with the dogs. We've had some pretty memorable games. From Brandon Bennett over the top, to the Brian Scott catch to win in Athens, the Lattimore coming out party in 2010, to the complete dismantling of Gurshal in '12. A lot of good games to choose from, but I have to say my favorite was the shootout in 2011.

Ingram's fake punt for a TD. Lattimore coming up huge in the 4th quarter with some clutch big runs. Clowney slinging Murray around like a ragdoll to cause the fumble to seal the win. The complete silence that covered the stadium besides the Carolina section as Ingram scored the second TD was awesome. Even having Georgia fratboys yelling obscenities at us walking back to the parking lot. What a great day and a great game.

For me it has to be 2012, being at that game was crazy. The season didn't turn out how we wanted but that isn't the issue. I really think the atmosphere is goingbto be hampered Saturday due to a 330 KO

One of the greatest plays in Carolina history...

And he fumbles the football...

I was at that 2011 game. Sitting smack in the middle of 100s of uga fans. I completely lost it on the Ingram scoop and score

The year Quincy Carter was supposed to be all that and ended up throwing like 5 interceptions which ended all the heisman talk.

I had lower level endzone seats and got to watch that happen right in front of my eyes. 2011

2012 is my favorite, with 2000 being a close second. The 2012 game takes the cake though, because of how we dominated. Just an all out beat down, and the environment was crazy.

2000 was fun - I was in the 10th grade, and my buddy and I sat in the nosebleeds of the east upper deck. Thought the stadium was going to collapse when Watson almost broke that kickoff return.

I was down in Athens in 2011 as well, up in the third deck nosebleeds. Watching Ingram run down the sideline from that angle was a thing of beauty.

Not my favorite necessarily, but because it hasn't been mentioned.

2001 @ UGA. Petty to Scott

Also, no one seems to remember the implications of our 17-15 2005 loss in Athens. If we had won that year we would've won the East in Spurrier's first season.

But alas, we missed an XP and had a TD called back in that game.

Good Call.

Todd Ellis schooling the Dogs in 1988 was also an under-rated game.

I remember the 2005 game very well. Didn't miss a game with the Dawgs from 2000-2014 until I skipped 2015. That 2005 game was Sidney Rice's coming out party.

Same. I think I was sitting beside the sun it was so high up and so hot that day. After the game, I've never been so happy to pay $3 for a bottle of water I was so thirsty and dehydrated.

This for me, 2000. We had just broken our 21-game losing streak to New Mexico St the week before, tearing down the goalposts in the process, and we did it again this time. I was there and I remember going to a keg party down S. Marion St afterwards where part of the goalpost was being carried down the street towards 5 Points. Some of the bars in 5 Points still have parts of the goalpost. That was an awesome night.

Henry's on Devine still has a piece for sure. My cousin was a Sigma Nu down here, and he ended up getting a piece of it from one of the older brothers in the fraternity. Just a crazy day.

Yeah, Derek Watson was pretty special that day. As was the defense.

Stupidest story nominee here that I just recalled.

Was at the 2011 game in Athens, went to the pisser, and on the wall was some kind of sign about washing your hands or something with Hairy Dawg. For no reason at all I was walking out of the bathroom and stuck one of those "Beat UGA" stickers smack in the middle of the UGA logo on that sign. Such a stupid and meaningless thing to do.

Fast forward 2 years later and I'm basically sitting in the same section, go back to the same pisser and the sticker is still there, untouched. I figured some UGA fan would've ripped it off, but I guess since that's where the away fans sit maybe they got a kick out of it.

So there it is, my great legacy and contribution to college football and the continuance of the SC-UGA rivalry. How stupid.

Mine was the '12 game. I was there and took a buddy (UW grad/fan,) to his first SEC game. He's seen a bunch of loud games before at UW in the 90's, but he was impressed. Plus we beat uga in every aspect of the game that night with a final score of 35-0.

Very cool place, I go there sometimes. I like how they prominently feature it behind the bar. Bar None still has a piece I think as well, maybe Group Therapy...

2000 ... I forget who our DC was that year but he kept dropping Dennis Quinn (I think that was his name) back into coverage off of the DLine and he had two interceptions and two knock downs pass break ups.

Robert whatshisname ... UGA DLineman from Columbia, had talked some serious smack all week leading up to the game. Dammit, I just had his name on my brain a few minutes ago.
