Sadly with my inner ear problem I get sea sick on dry land. I do envy folks who can go out on the blue water.

What kind of activities do you plan to do on the boat? You might want to ask the outdoor board as well

Don't be a puss.

24' is for pussies.

27' stands true..

I’d get is 60-75k. Fishing is most important but wife and daughters like to ride.

There's plenty to look at...

If you look hard and be patient, you might be able to find a used Blackjack 256 in upper limit of your budget.

That's what I have, and have zero regrets.

thehulltruth dot com is a good site to search and research. Best of luck

Sportsman boats are the way to go if you can't afford or don't want to wait on a Freeman.

Also, fyi, the Outdoors Board on tigerdroppings is a better place for boat discussions, and anything remotely outdoors. Maybe the most "level-headed" and down to earth TD has to offer.

Enjoy your search.

going to be pushing it for new with this, especially in a 27'. A 27' is going to likely need to two motors.

Yep a 27 might have to be a couple of years old. I found a sweet blackjack 256 for 76. It’s loaded and has less than 100 hours but I wasn’t familiar with it and didn’t pull the trigger in time.

I have never heard anyone say I wish I had a smaller boat.

I think I see that one. I know nothing of Blackjack. But that setup doesn't look too family friendly. Look for something that has more seating or at least more removable seating if you want to make wife and kids happy

Pathfinder’s are the original. Hellsbay, and East cape make higher end flats boats that just got into the bay boat game. Give them a look too. I personally have a yellowfin 24 and love it.
