Only CSU, yes. And he does have his limitations.

But he looked absolutely better than at ANY point last year, and his improvement from the Spring Game is evident.

He may not be what UF truly needs at QB, but last night is a start in the right direction.

Next week will be interesting.

Have some ketchup with that crow...goes down smooth

And I am in the camp that what a difference a year makes. Its not all Mullen either...Franks was humiliated last year and he has been quoted as saying he is normally a positive person. He hitched his big boy pants up and work hard as hell watching film, lifting weights and working his arse off in the grueling summer heat to get much better...couple that with great coaching and play calling he will be a better QB this year. Perfect? Hell no...but what QB is?

As long as he protects the ball and moves the chains enough....he will develop even more. Last year was last year and believe me...I swore at him many times. But he deserves the payoff this year. He will probably play the whole game against UK and we will have a better sample size then. I expect the Franks wagon to be full soon.

If he wins MSST we'll all be in it, but until he plays a real team that every position player doesn't dominate every down, we'll only be seeing a QB in a good system.

Look at Fromm's job at UGA. Sure, he's probably a good Quarterback, but it's so easy when every pass you complete is a checkdown and your running backs average 7 yards a carry.

His job was made easier because he had time to go through his slow-motion reading style, but we really, really need to see how he reacts when he has hands in his face.

That is literally all we want from him...and no Trask isn't going to be a Heisman contender if he is in.

We have an insane group of skill players. Our WR core and RB core is the best its been in a very long time. This is the best back group from even before Meyer was here possibly.

Franks job is simple. Make the ride option reads. Don't turn it over. Throw it deep to make defenses respect it. Don't turn it over(again).

If he can do that...we could be very good.

Agreed.

Literally no one has said this, ever. But to say that the backup offensive line is anywhere near the same pocket/conditions as first string is folly.

Of course Straws is RIGHT...why don't you withhold judgment til he wins the SECCG while you are at it?

You are a tripazoid. Straws.

Of course I FULLY expect that if Franks does beat Moo State, you will crow about how you KNEW he would do it. I have seen your style Straws and to be wrong just chafes your arse, its ok...just keep being you. Its pure entertainment how you will come up with revisionist history to fit your argument.

But don't expect leeway from me...I will pound you with all the shite you posted about Franks. Now you are throwing a pity party for Trask because he has to play with the 2s. That's what second teamers do Straws. "Sorry for party rocking " LMAO.

"Let's wait until he goes to MSST to start saying he's a great Quarterback."

Reel: "SO WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE SEC CG!@??!?!?!"

Go be a stupid frick to other fanbases if you're just going to talk shite and 'forget' to read. I hope Franks does beat MSST, but to pretend like we didn't completely outclass the other team at every level is premature.

He still has 0 big wins to his name, and until we see him in a pressured environment, it's all temporary. If and when he beats MSST, then the band wagon will fill.

But making quick work of a team that wasn't even in our own league is hardly time to crown anyone at any time.

I don't know why I even take time to explain things to you since you seldomn actually read or bring any real original content of your own to any conversation.

I'm not even being negative, almost everything I've said is positive. I just want to see big, convincing wins against teams that aren't FCS.

I'm much, much more excited about the defense. They played smart football, and you could tell that they were almost always in the right position and did their job to a T.

The QB is coming along, and I'm so happy that we have three 'tune up' games so the offense can gel together since we have some new pieces moving around.

It was also amazing seeing so many people getting touches, sending a clear message. Hopefully we can get our backups in the third quarter for a bunch of different games this year.

Franks moved in the pocket to create time. He put touch on the ball.

Those TD passes to Van Jefferson were NFL level throws

He had three very good TD throws. The corner shot and both slants were perfectly placed balls

People need to remember he was highly rated because of skill set. Mobile, cannon arm, and perfect size.

He was also new. He has to he coached was known from the start. Nuss and Mac probably regressed him more than progressed. Dead serious.

Mullen knows this position as well as any coach in CFB. If anyone can teach a guy like Frank's how to play..it's this guy. The system is perfect for Frank's. It gives him a few options, but simple ones. Not as simple as Chips offense but close enough. Frank's was learning a complex pro system last year that doesn't work in college. Now he is learning a college system that is proven, and has been done by QBs without nearly his lvl of raw talent.

Give it time. Let Mullen work. We could see a really good college QB by the end of the year. He has the skill set. Mullen has the brains. Let them figure it out

As a man of few words I’m pleased with what I saw from the WHOLE team. Let’s see that continue each week and we may have a decent team.

Great trip to Gainesville, difference in night and day across the board from last year. We could have a great season if this keeps up. Go Gators!

The defense was what I expected for some time...Shannon did not use the teams talents correctly last year imo...plus we had a back seven with youth. That youth has talent and it shows now. It was good seeing guys like Ventral Miller getting a lot of snap experience at OLB and Moon showed his speed, he played with hands down and up. I really watched those LBers a lot. I cant wait til we play teams with solid OLs to see how good the DL performs...but Slaton, Conliffe and Clark can hold their own I think. One DT who didn't play was Kyree Campbell because of the air rifles crap. Rumor from Gainesville Sun was that CeCe was sitting out for missing class.

What can the offense be like with another weapon like Toney? Cant wait to see his shake and bake. The UK game mainly hinges on our OL pushing around the Wildcat DL enough to run the ball and I expect us to pound the ball a lot to soften em up. I would have Pierce ready to tote the mail if Scarlett, Perrine and Davis aren't getting it done.

Scarlett didn't look good. Very hesitant. Davis had a rough first series but showed his talent the next time around. Davis and Pierce could be a very scary 1-2 punch with Scarlett coming in as a change of pace power back
