This week needs to go ahead and skip ahead to next Saturday. Get to see how this seemingly improved group of kids does vs SEC lvl competition.
Really excited about what could lie ahead, but we all know excitement has died quickly from one game to another. So. Let's get the predictions out of the way. What score ya'll got vs our yearly whipping dog?

I expect a close game with UK, as usual. Their backup QB is pretty accurate and lets hope a hostile environment shakes him up. The starter Wilson may not play. CMU had great pass rush and brought the wood. CMU doesn't have a QB who knows what a forward pass is though.

Kentucky's offense is going to test the front 7, as they will run a lot and they have a few good runners.
The key for the defense this game will be not missing tackles, or if you are going to miss, at least slow him down until your buddies can get there. Snell is really good at breaking tackles.
They beat CMU 35-20 even while having a -4 turnover margin. CMU only managed 255 yards of offense and 13 offensive points off of those turnovers (they scored once on a fumble return).
Kentucky rushed for 299 yards.
Their passing attack looks questionable, but this is a tough unit with a decent defense and a hard-nosed offense. If they can keep UF's offense from getting comfortable, and keep the UF defense on the field with long drives, even if they don't always end in points, it'll be a close game.

Its as usual. It's as usual when UF coaches suck. With good UF coaches it's a fun win

The only reason UK had that rushing yardage is because the CMU defense was on the field all day. The CMU QB was awful at passing. In the first half the CMU DL was in the Wildcat backfield a lot (hence the 4 turnovers in the first half). But 3 and outs doomed them.
Our offense should be able to stay on the field more and with a few explosive plays? It will be hard for UK to overcome and they don't want to be forced to throw. I still think its a close game....but if we hit enough long passes it might take the wind out of their sails. Lets see how our OL does.

UF should win this game.

UK did not look impressive last night.
If UF's OL plays better, and the defense gets several starters back, I expect a fairly convincing win.
Something like UF 38-14.

I would like to say I expect a comfortable win, but in my heart of hearts, I know I'm expecting Franks to play tight and the OL to underperform.
24-20
Halftime tied 10-10, we pull away with the run game and a couple turnovers, UK scores a late TD but don't recover the inside kick.
If we play clean ball and win a 38-10 type game, then my enthusiasm will be off the charts.

Box 38-14 type game is probably not going to happen. Stoops will have them fired up to snap the long winning streak we have over them. A ten point win would be excellent in my eyes. They ain't rolling over...they have scholarship players too.

Guys - BE PREPARED
UF was outrushed 222-203 last night. The Ground game is still nowhere near where we need it to be and Kentucky has some good backs.

We threw a lot on purpose. I suspect the run game will be okay. Scarlett especially needs to hit the hole and stop dancing. We also saw great WR blocking which will be key. Also the first team defense didn't let those yards through. Kentucky isn't moving our nasty defensive line off the ball.

I created a Kentucky week thread but realized this was already made. Deleted mine and stickies yours.
Not to let my OCD show or anything but can you edit your title to say “Kentucky” somewhere? No biggie if not.

UF had I believe 170 rushing yards in the first half.
CSU had one decent play that entire half
Stats are misleading. We will be fine.

I'm feeling a 55-21 route coming.
Can't go 15-0 without starting 2-0!

How much came after we took starters out?

How many of these will we get?

Franks looked very poised and had command of the offense against an inferior opponent. Hopefully he can do it again.
UF needs to do better preventing the big run plays against UK. Only way UK wins is through the ground and pound.
