Auburn was the 1983 national champ. Just because a handful of people in a couple of polls made a mistake does not change what happened on the field and more selectors picked Auburn that any other team in 1983 when including computer polls.

Now appologize for wasting my time on this subject when it is obvious to anyone and everyone that knows anything about the 1983 season that AU was the champ.

Not the AP, FWAA, NFF, USA/CNN, UPI, you know the ones that people agree on... especially after WW2.

IF Auburn had scored a TD on Michigan, or even beat them by more than 3 points, then you MIGHT have something to stand on....

But to keep arguing this makes you look silly, Miami (Fl) is the National Champ. Just let it go.....

Even Alabama fans, who have a better argument for the 1966 NC than Auburn has for 1982, do not try and count it
