Is CeCe Jefferson preseason 1st team SEC, when everything written about him is that he is working on being a 5-Star bust. While TBJ is playing his azz off coming off of 2 knee injuries.

It's not how you start but how you finish; Terry will be 1st All-SEC at the end of the year......and should get other hardware too.

The media butt-love for Florida is strange. The projections for a team coming of a 4-win season with a new coaching staff is ridiculous. And, questions at QB.

They're all like "Florida returns 19 starters, and the new coach will have them kicking arse out of the gate."

And for Mizzou its like "Mizzou returns 15 starters, but they'll go 7-5 because we hate them"

That sound about right?

How many of the 19 starters back at Florida we’re 4 star recruits?

Mizzou has 4 maybe 5 starters that were 4 Stars. By my count hats Lock, Crockett, Brown/Ofodile, Lee and TBJ

Don’t forget Elliot coming off a transfer from Texas.

Mizzou also returns the entire starting Oline that gave up the fewest sacks in the SEC. and a veteran LB corps. Experience matters, maybe even more than stars.

Not for preseason buzz. To get that you need to be highly touted coming into college (Lock and TBJ) or have NFL draft buzz (Albert O)

I left Elliot off as I don’t think he starts, same will Williams, Parker and Byars.

Good point in leaving them off. I wasn't thinking about starts.

I agree that preseason buzz includes recruiting rankings, but to have so many in the media take Florida as the 2-3 spot in the east with their performance last year, Franks at QB, and a new coach/scheme is still beyond me.

I guess Mizzou is the only one that could be predicted above Florida outside USC, and that just wont fly

Drew Lock brings the best out of everyone on the offense and he also has the ability to bring out true talent. Some of those 3 star players will look like 4 or 5 star players(AO). People who know football and have watched SEC football realize this. (Lock made and helped J’Mon a much better player even with all the drops)

There will be very few players at Mizzou that get preseason love from the rest of the conference and the media even after 2 SEC east championships.

I’m sure Arkansas and South Carolina went through this when they entered the SEC in the early 90’s. It may take another decade or two for Mizzou to get some love.

Ok, I get that Mizzou as a team isn't going to get much love, but giving the nod to Jefferson who hasn't done shite to reflect his 5 star rating, and in fact has been labeled a bust, over TBJ, another 5 star with a NFL future is beyond asinine.

Where are you getting that he’s been labeled a bust?
Jefferson had more tackles and TFL than Beckner last season.

Jefferson may not be a bust, but he played on the DL last year with DT Taven Bryan(Bryan was picked in the 1st round).

Last year if Mizzou would have had the DL we expected after the 2016 season Beckner would have had much better numbers than Jefferson.

Jefferson is 6-1 240 lbs. Beckner is a beast at 6-4 290 lbs. If any coach in the SEC had the choice between the two Beckner would be their choice.

No reason Jefferson should be 1st team over Beckner. If Beckner stays healthy there should be no comparison, but Jefferson may have a breakout season like Michael Sam.

Jefferson and TB play 2 different positions man. TB is a clear 1st teamer to me as well. Great motor, size, quickness, very explosive even after a knee injury.

CeCe has been far from a bust. You’re grasping at straws.
