I wrote them off as well! I spoke with an old friend that said if you play them, you had better catch them early because they play themselves into shape. They have a lot going both ways. Their big Achilles will be that they have no kicking game. They will be a tough out in the 5A playoffs.

Some fun playoff games.
Wetumpka beat Hillcrest in Tuscaloosa 20-17 in OT.
Homewood beat Gardendale 14-0
Pinson Valley beat Muscle Shoals 45-21. Bo Nix had 4 total Td's (2 passing, 2 rushing).
Opelika beat Decatur 49-0.
7A score that caught my attention: Lee Montgomery beat Auburn 12-6. For as consistent of a program as Auburn High has had, it's crazy how they've never pulled a team together to make a run to the state title. At least in my life time, they have always choked in the playoffs.
Another one in 7A, Central Phoenix City beat McGill Toolen 14-0. CPC has former Prattville coach, Jamey Dubose. Only a matter of time til they start winning some state titles.
