Ok, my trolling sucks. No doubt. So back to a serious thread. I am curious, Bull Dog fans ... to you what would be success for this season?

Is it truly National Champion or bust?

For me as a Bama fan, I would love to say, my expectations for this season would be that Bama gets in the playoffs. But I know in my heart, that if Bama gets in, I will be disappointed if we don't win it all. That's just how it is. But for you, Dawg fan, what would be bottom line success for you? Must you win it all or will it be disappointing if you don't?

It would be cool if fans of other teams could chime on what success means for your team. God bless.

10-2 or 11-1. Win the East. NY6 bowl.

10 wins would really be a good season for us as a program. Would be only the 2nd back to back 10 win seasons in our history.

My expectations are that we return to the SECCG, id be happy with that.

This in my mind is a sane win for Bama as well but we're not exactly sane. I think it's a good one for Georgia though I could see a Dawg fan might be like we need to get back at least to the title game. I think that would be reasonable in light of what happened last season for you guys.

Honestly, if we win the SEC CG, I'd *have* to be content but knowing me, I probably wouldn't. I think this is sane thinking for any Bama, Georgia or Auburn fan. I know LSU fans would be ecstatic if the Tigahs could pull that off.

Our offense should be lights out. Our OL should be dominant. Defense should be good with Reed and Baker returning in the secondary. We also upgrade the talent back that. Losing Roquan is big. We have a lot of talent at ILB but not much experience outside of Patrick. DL should be good, especially with the addition of Hayes.

I believe they will have a similar record, but likely won't be as good of a team as last season. Speaking about the regular season.

It hasn't always been, but being in the East right now is a real advantage that uga can build on the momentum of last season.

11-1 win the east - successful

win conference, get in playoffs - bonus round

play for title ( lose ) - disappointed, but happy

win title - yeah baby!!

win title beating Bama or Clemson - will talk crap for 365 days!!

that has never, and will never, be the case no matter how much our rivals want to believe that's what we think.

We EXPECT to win the east, anythign less would be majorly disappointing. I don't think there's any shame in losing the SECCG to alabama, alhtough of course we would like to do better but that's not gonna make our season a failure. Too hard to predict bowl games in August. So I'd say no worse than 11-2 after the first weekend in December is what we expect and anything less would likely be unsuccessful. We should be no worse than 11-1 regular season.

For this year, I think 8 wins is bottom line where I say "ok pretty good season given the circumstances" Then a ranked bowl game like last year.

Next year, with Boom having 3 years to recruit, and doing pretty damn good at it. I think expectation will be 9-10 wins or win the east.

Getting to the NC for us means beating Clemson, UGA, Bama, and 2 playoff teams...

No, it is only 1 playoff team to get to the NC. The second playoff game is the NC.

Similar could be said for UGA.

We have to beat Auburn, Alabama, LSU on the road, USC on the road. And a GT team that people are actually talking up this year. Plus a playoff team.

Eh. It's not bad. Average for this place.

No. SEC East Championship and a NY6 Bowl. We really think next year is when we will begin seeing real results and become a consistent winner.

However, I think we still go 11-1 (easy schedule), lose the SECCG and win the Bowl.

Win the East, NY6 bowl, I’m happy. We should be a lot better in 2019, that’s our best chance to win it all, in my opinion.

Rumor is they have a QB that can complete a forward pass and some decent receivers this year. In the past, the achilles heel was 3rd and Long. If they can fix that, they can win the ACC again. And their defense is supposed to be gooder too.

I don't know, never can tell with PJ's teams. They sure do tear up your DL's knees the week before the SECCG though.

Nice, it's this thread again. I was wondering why we haven't discussed this topic in a couple weeks.
