I don't give a shite about Mizzou. But I am saying that Carolina team was good enough to be top 5 in any division. They beat the final ranked:

#5 Missouri
#8 Clemson
#10 UCF
#22 Wisconsin
#24 Vanderbilt

Three top ten wins and two more ranked teams, but sure I'm the idiot. Has Mississippi State ever beaten three final ranked top ten teams in a season?

I wasn't trying to denigrate USC. They were more deserving than Mizzou and their loss to Mizzou that year was a fluke. But dude, Mizzou and UCF weren't legit top 10 teams.

As for Mississippi State, this wasn't about them. But I will say that State beat three top 10 teams in a row in 2014, facilitating the fastest rise to #1 in college football history. Those teams didn't finish up there because, well, they lost. Oh, and they played SEC West schedules.

I don't think it's unreasonable or controversial at all to say that you guys, or Mizzou, wouldn't have finished so high or been in contention to win the division if you had to play Alabama, Auburn, or LSU that year. It's common sense. The way Auburn gashed Mizzou in the championship validates the theory.

SEC scheduling office is ridiculous. Tennessee this year is about as brutal as can be. Auburn last year had 3 consecutive away conference games leading into the Georgia game. I know LSU seems to be right there with AU for toughest schedule every year. Bama's always seems to be incredibly well balanced, luck of the draw I guess.
