Remember too, that last year Golding was supposed to be coaching ILBs and assisting the DC - not being the actual DC at his age/experience level - which he basically was by midyear. Golding was in a tough spot, but of all the folks who dropped the ball last year, he's not one.

And to anyone who would say, "Hey, he's (Golding) got to do that this year." Yes, he does. But this year, we have one more assistant on that side of the ball, and Saban went out and got a crapload of experience coaches, including two assistants who are former defensive coordinators, both of whom also carry the title of associate head coach and who are from the Saban tree. Golding has much, much, MUCH more help on that side of the ball from the coaching staff than anyone had last year.
