That's not very good. Excellent punt returner and maybe our top backup at WR.

TE may have also taken another hit as Christopherson wasn't at practice (reason unknown)

So true freshmen will likely be returning punts and kicks game 1 of the season

That sucks. Time for Knox or Gicinto to step up!

Ford sounded like they were kind of hesitant to do that. I just hope they don't put Johnson back there. He was absolutely horrible returning punts last year.

Other than Cam who are the options then?

JJ and Rountree are expected to play major roles so I doubt they will be used much as returners.

If they can protect the rock, let Hilton or Stribling handle returning punts and kicks.

I would give some of the freshmen a shot in game 1.

This might also lead to just fair catching kickoffs. Automatically start at the 25 yard line.

Looks like some freshmen will get a shot on punts.

With Richaud Floyd out for a while, Barry Odom said Johnathon Johnson, Jalen Knox and Dom Gicinto could all see time as the Tigers’ punt returner.

Meh. If a couple of older guys won't kill you by losing the rock, I'd keep my skill potential for the offense.

Gicinto had to be helped off the field today.

Sprained ankle but doesn't sound minor.

Starting to get some injuries piling up here.

After practice BO didn’t sound concerned with Gicinto’s ankle Injury. Said he would be ready for the scrimmage Saturday

I would honestly put Cam back there. He's going to catch the ball. I know that.

Cam would be the safe choice that would be the Pinkel way. I like the idea of an open competition. If JJ or 1 of the freshmen show that they can both safely field the punt and be a return threat give them a shot the first 2 games.

I'm fine with safe after watching the disaster that was the first half of last year.
