Leonard's Losers - Help Needed

Background
I am working on a gift for my dad. He is a huge college football fan and Bama fan and now in his 80s. I am finding old games, documentaries, etc. and burning them to DVD so he can watch them.
I had an idea to find old Leonard's Losers audio clips and include those as well. I can remember listening to his show together on Saturday mornings.
Help Finding Old Recordings
Does anyone know where I can find old audio of this show?
I have included the below youtube link to what I have found and maybe introduce a little southern football tradition to some younger fans who never had the privilege of listening to Leonard's entertaining prognostications.
Leonard's Losers - Before We had College Game Day
Thanks for any help or even discussion on this.
Edit: Documentaries is not the correct word above. We have purchased many of those. I have started a collection of Bryant Showss, news clips, etc that may not be included in the professional documentaries.

Vividly remember they'd play that on the radio before high school football games when I was a kid.
Good luck on your search

I think it broadcast out of GA so that might be a place to start
They also had a weekly magazine so you may be able to find old hard copies somewhere.

Thanks.
I am going to try and locate the radio station where the show originated and see what someone can tell me.

Never knew about a magazine but will search it as well.
Thanks again.

I know the Huntsville Times would print them in Saturday's papers at least some of the times. It was on the stats page. If you can't find the audio, maybe you can find them in print.

In 1958, Postero taped his first Leonard's Losers radio show at WRFC-AM in Athens. The show described college football matchups and then predicted which team would lose. Postero taped his show using a pseudonym of "Leonard Postosties" and was introduced by his sidekick "Percy Peabody" (also voiced by Postero). The show's "schtick" was a rural delivery style (à la Jerry Clower) and comedic scripts using alternate team nicknames related to the school mascot or the school itself. Some of these references included "riflemen" for the University of Tennessee Volunteers, "red clay hounds" for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, "giant water lizards" for the University of Florida Gators, "pachyderms" for the University of Alabama (because of their elephant mascot), and "the Pope's pupils" for the University of Notre Dame (for its status as a Catholic university). Leonard claimed that he possessed a "little smart pill machine" to come up with his prognostications and always closed his broadcast with a plea to his sidekick to "get me outta here, Percy." A game might be described as follows:
"Phillip Fulmer leads his Rifleman into the Athens Kennel for a shooting match with Jim Donnan's Pack of Drool Dogs. The Volunteer Army has owned the K-9s of late, while the Red Clay Hounds think it's about time to sink their teeth into the Big Orange Rifle Brigade. The Knoxville Army is angry after last week, but the Athens Dawgs will get the job done. Leonard's Loser? Tennessee"
At the height of its popularity, Leonard's Losers was carried on over 1400 radio stations, including Armed Forces Radio. Postero also published a weekly newsletter called Leonard's Losers.[1]
Postero retired in 1999 and a group of Athens businessmen purchased the show.[1] As part of the transition, the new voice of Leonard Postosties was introduced as Leonard's nephew though there was no relation between the two.
After the 2005 season, a message appeared on the website saying that due to personal reasons Leonard was unable to make his predictions and hoped to return. This message remained on the website until 2007 when the website closed.
Leonard Postero was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 19, 2013 as a legacy inductee for his show Leonard's Losers.[2]

Leonard Anthony Postero, Sr. (December 11, 1922 – July 20, 2001) was a native of Athens, Georgia, known for his syndicated radio show, Leonard's Losers. He was a 1943 graduate of the University of Georgia and served as an aviator in the United States Navy from 1943–45.[1]

Some of my favorite nicknames from my memory...
Florida - Giant Swamp Lizards
TCU - Desert Lizards
Edit....forgot about the Pope's Pupils for Notre Dame. Good stuff for those who remember listening to games on the radio. His show came on our local radio show prior to the Bama pregame show.
Thanks for the info

Get me outta here Percy

Interesting.
I wonder if his son, or the relative who attempted to keep the show going has his archives.
Whoever has the recordings would be able to sell a packaged compilation of some type I would think.

I used to love listening as a kid on the way to Starkville. It was always a treat when he didn’t pick us those 2-3 shows per year...Arky State, Tulane etc.

I can remember being ticked off when I was really young when he would pick Bama to lose. I came of football age in Bama's run in the 70s and i was of the mindset everyone else was supposed to lose.
One of my earliest radio memories is the MSU win over Bama in Jackson, Ms I think....

It was a popular show, but the man really deserved awards for his marketing shtick that provided no insight whatsoever. The example posted above was perfect; he would toss around his hokey nicknames and pick a loser with zero analysis. The show got redundant quickly, but everyone kept listening.

Youtube has at least one recording of 9+ minutes. There might be more. I think there must be a way to record it off YouTube:
Leonard's Losers

Looks like you found the same thing I found. Great show, and sorry I couldn't help you more. Good luck with the search, though. I lost my dad two years ago when he was 86. I wish I had thought about doing what you are doing before he passed away. You're a good son.

I think most of those clips are from someone trying to be Leonard Postero. I will go thought them to make sure though.
The 9 minute clip is the real leonard however.

He used to make me mad when he would pick Bama.(remember he picked losers), and then I would get furious at him when he turned out to be right.
