There's always been controversy and political dissent in sports. That's not the reason.
It's because the NFL has become boring.
They have a product. The public doesn't want it.
It's the reason I rarely watch.
Credit where credit is due however. U.S. college football, particularly the SEC, is entertaining.
It all comes down to giving a product the public wants. The NFL is not doing that.
