Was it Wallace or Collins?
I’ve heard that Bobby Collins only chance back in to coaching after the SMU debacle was with State when Sherrill was hired.

The finalists for the job back in December 1990 were Sherrill, Danny Ford, Bobby Collins and Bobby Wallace, if my memory is correct. We reached out to Jenkins at Houston (a prior assistant under Bellard), but he wasn't interested.
