Well, this is a lie.

I've read the stories now. The source (owner of an external vendor) told the media he said "people used to drag African-Americans from trucks until they died."

He further said "'Colonel Sanders called blacks n-----s,"

The meeting was between an external vendor (PR agency) and PJ executives to discuss public relations after he blamed NFL protests for declining sales. He states he was using those examples to the PR firm to defend himself against media accusations of racism. It was a poor strategy to use that word in any context. And it cost him his position as chairman of the PJ board.
