One of my favorite humorous and annoying things about our fanbase is more of a local gameday issue but it speaks to the complete inability of many sidewalk fans (especially older ones) to embrace any kind of change whatsoever to "the good ole days" of the Alabama game day experience. These fans bitch constantly about no longer being able to park two blocks from the stadium 30 minutes before kickoff. Heaven forbid they have to actually park on the edge of campus or just off for $10 or $20 and actually walk a couple hundred yards to one of about a dozen shuttle stops and ride a FREE shuttle to the Quad and walk another whopping 300 yards to the stadium. It never dawns on these people that maybe, just maybe the additional 41,000 seats that have been added to BDS since the "good ole days" may have necessitated logistical changes to parking, tailgating, and the overall gameday experience. Their solution is more surface parking lots near the stadium. The fact that this extra parking would only be needed 8 days a year and would be a complete waste of space and valuable real estate is irrelevant to them. They see all the beautiful new classroom buildings and dorms on campus as wasted opportunities for more surface parking closer to the stadium that might add an extra 500 yards these old codgers might have to walk. The lack of this parking to them is just another example of how Gene Hallman (man who oversees the company that designs and implements the gameday logistics and their favorite boogie man) has "ruined" the gameday experience. These are the same fans that despite the fact Tuscaloosa has added a half dozen or so really good restaurants the last decade they still insist on recommending Dreamland BBQ as the end all be all one of a kind dining experience to each and every visiting fan who asks for dining options...lol

It's hilarious hearing our fans get pissed about Bo Mattingly. Who cares. You don't need media members to give you their opinion anymore. Watch the games. Look at the box score. Watch the press conference in it's entirety. Evaluate and make your own decision. Don't let some media member who never played sports and who doesn't care about the program tell you how to feel.
A new laughable portion of our fans are those who try to run a podcast from their living room. These nobodies pretending to be insiders is laughable enough....but then you consider that they couldn't name a backup or position coach and their research consists of twitter polls and message board rumors and it becomes hilarious.

I always find it funny when Alabama alumni make fun of the sidewalk fans. I am an alumni but I would never make fun of the passion of the alumni or the sidewalk fans. I have talked to players that say they practice harder and play harder because of the fan base's passion.
Yes sometimes our fan base goes to extremes but that passion is the reason why Alabama has won so many national titles, for example Coach Moore hiring Coach Saban.....

The Gator fans that were really Tebow "fans" and also decried anything the Broncos did during his time in Denver (similar to the Camther fans)

We should have a Jort out for one game. Ben Hill would be lit.

The fact that the fans think every elite high school athlete in Louisiana should go to LSU. Undoubtedly some big time recruits whether it be Sophser and Lee at Amite or Emery at Destrehan will probably choose Bama or MSU in Emery’s case and Tiger nation will try to get that kid banned from coming back into the state somehow

I graduated in 1979, and I have never met any of these people.
Back in "the good ole days", any half decent game was played in Birmingham anyway. There literally was no game day experience in Tuscaloosa in the seventies.
Btw...I have my on street parking area where I can almost always park for free if I get there 3 hours before kickoff.

When we play sandstorm after kicking field goals against teams like Louisiana Tech.

Spitting on Aubies and throwing piss balloons at Vowels. Oh, and count punting old ladies. It’s all good fun and makes me laugh.

I like you an all but, wearing Jorts in public should be at minimum a class 3 felony. Subject to 1 year in prison or an extremely hefty fine and probation. Unless your name is Steve Austin.
Fixed good catch
