I wonder if that’s how they’ve gotten around the FCC requirement, by offering it on some programming but not others.

Still shitty nonetheless. It’s not like ESPN doesn’t use the service for other live talk programs because it does.

Could it be because a difference of not being in studio? I mean I know they have tons of equipment, but definitely no knowledge on that at all.

It depends on the program want to spend the money to hire someone to do the job. That is what it is. Most programs are closed caption. I have cable box. That is the one is on closed caption. Got to turn that on. Not the one from T.V. So T.V. closed caption is for if there is no cable box. It was bad 25 years ago. A lot better now and that some hearing people have it on when they listen to music or working out at the gym.
