These are 18 year olds we're talking about, it's not an excuse just a fact they aren't going to remember every single consequence for every single rule. Do you really, honestly, truly believe Fulton knew about this 2 year ban before that test, and not just heard it once or saw it in passing, but legitimately thought beforehand "if I get caught, i lose 2 years".

Im not sure

But this is such a weak argument in his defense

My whole point in this, is the argument for Fulton not being suspended 2 years is :

it isnt fair eventhough the rule was clearly written
he was ignorant of the rule

Those are really weak arguments and I dont blame the ncaa for not giving in, nor other fans for saying we look ridiculous

If he gets off, it's because of the new evidence, everyone knows this. Their argument isn't that he was a clueless 18 year old and made a dumb mistake so let him off. They know thats not how the NCAA operates.

As a side to that, these other things we've stated are certainly many solid arguments that the punishment of 2 years is still extremely excessive. It shouldn't surprise anyone if the NCAA eventually changes their stance on that kind of suspension, especially when it's very much left up to an accusation without potential solid proof (Which I think is where the Fulton's will go with his case).
