Can someone tell me again why LSU fans are melting over a kid that has zero passes defended, zero interceptions and only 2 combined tackles in his career?

Can someone tell me again why LSU fans are melting over a kid that has zero passes defended, zero interceptions and only 2 combined tackles in his career?
He most certainly should have played as a freshman over All American Tre White.

The severity of the penalty is ridiculous compared to other infractions that are way worse. Yes the kid made a mistake, but 2 years is a lot to ask for when dealing with a kid’s future. It’s all done and over. With or without Fulton we are still gonna beat that Bama arse come 11/3...Book it!

He should have served a one year ban for tampering. No one is arguing that. Sitting out for two years is really absurd. The NCAA claims that they try to do what’s right and in the best interest of the kids, but there’s no way they can argue that in this case. They have tried to ruin this kids life and make an example of him.

Lol no. They have made it clear that tampering will be a much stiffer punishment to encourage kids to take the punishment for a failed test then learn from it and move on. If anyone entity is at fault for this tampering issue, it's LSU's compliance department for not making the punishments clear to player. A failed weed test is half a season. This player should have been aware that risking a failed test would only be 1/4 the punishment of tampering with the test. LSU failed him, or this kid failed himself. Don't blame the NCAA for it. The NCAA is trying to save this kids life by getting him off of drugs and teaching him that cheating, deception, and dishonesty are low integrity character flaws. Loaded on drugs and a deceiver of truth is no way to go through life son.
