No you weren't.

We had one of the top rushing defenses all year leading to that game. It's ifs and buts of course, but we made a really stupid coaching decision and it cost us the game. Quite possibly a NC. I'm not saying Auburn wasn't a great team that year, they were. All I'm saying is had we simply played the same scheme we had played (with good success) all year I believe we would have won:

I dont believe any scheme would have stopped that offense. We only got slowed down once all year and that was by LSU in the stiff dew.

That offense was pretty much unstoppable. When a team rushes for over 500 yards, its not a scheme. Its getting man handled up front. Which you were. Im sure Pinkle knew the scheme better than any of us and if he could have changed things to slow us down, he would have after we got to 200,300 and maybe 400 years rushing.

Your only choice was to out score us which you couldnt when we made a few plays on defense finally

It wouldn’t have mattered. Nobody stopped Auburn’s rushing attack in 2013. It was one of the most dominant in college football history. Everyone knew what was coming and nobody stopped it.
