Things you can't stand in the workplace?

I know it's broad, but I have to vent a gripe I have. I've had a string of very cool, hands off jobs where I was given the liberty to do what I wanted. I worked as a contractor for the army, then as an armed security guard for a very fancy neighborhood and now I have my own school in Mexico City to teach English.
One of my biggest gripes, and something I simply can't tolerate are people who don't have manners. I'm financially secure, but was offered some extra work by a friend and -- I have to preface this that I know this is petty -- but she said "thank you" after asking a question and I don't know why, but the petty switch just went off. It's the second potential partnership that I've declined just because I don't want to handle talking to people like her.
What about you guys, what do you dislike in the workplace?

So you say you can't tolerate people without manners, then you get very butt hurt because the person said, "thank you"? Sounds like you have no manners.

People (consultants, salesmen, etc.) stopping by occasionally and thinking they know more about what's going on around here than I do.
I have one particular guy that will borderline argue with me, yet has no clue what my reasoning is for doing something a certain way.
Eventually, you just have to say to hell with manners, and tell them they can either ride along or frick off, but somebody is in charge here and it's not them.

People who stand up and say what everyone is thinking and ppl in charge treating them like a god for saying it. Pretty much arse kissing.

People who bring their personal baggage to work with them. Nobody wants to hear that shite. Why can't those people think of work as 9 hours that they can get away from their troubles?

Can you provide some context? What was the question, and why was the thank you out of place? Was it poor English? Smartassedness? A “thank you in advance” kinda thing?

Yes, and I know people aren't understanding because I didn't articulate it well enough -- I also said I know it's petty.
I really dislike when people say: "Can you do x for me? Thank you.", like it's a directive and not really a question. To me, you wait for someone to say "sure" before you thank them for something and it just really, really irks me. I know it's silly, but something just sets me off when people "talk down to me".

Saying "thank you" before the other person even responds isn't a sign of respect, parents do that to children. "Can you take out the trash? Thank you." I would never thank a person before they even had the chance to respond.

Ah, yeah that makes much more sense. Thanks for clarifying. I thought you were a racist trump supporter who was mad she spoke in Spanish at first.

There's nothing fun about someone who is constantly "woe is me" the entire day. I don't mind it once in a while, because I know everyone is fighting a battle, but when it's every day it can be taxing for everyone.

As a teacher, I can completely relate. People always question/doubt my methods because they don't learn English (an already incredibly difficult language) in a month or two.
Also, I'm not saying that you need to be a dandy with manners -- because everyone needs a hard shake from time to time. I don't mind it if I've fricked up, but something about "Do what I said, thanks" just rubs me the wrong way when it's not my actual boss.

This was face to face, man. And I think I covered it in the OP: I have been free of cubicle bullshite for over 9 years now. So I don't take these passive aggressive comments well because I don't have an obligation to actually work there. It irks me, but really I was just looking for an excuse to make a gripe thread.
