If AU had the success and the fans, they would certainly outstrip Bama. AU has more looneys that any fanbase in the country. Their Finebaum callers when he was in Ala rarely even talked about AU, it's all about Bama. AU's is a derivative program - their entire existence is in reference to Alabama. Bama's success has made some of them crazy, real sickos. Thrower, Green, Scott, et al. - conspiratorial idiots and/or totally delusional regarding Alabama.

yet I have never seen any of them make the national news because of their actions.

Even now the only reason any other fanbase even cuts PF on is to laugh at how Bama fans act. It's actually not good for the sec nationally.

No other fan base has the likes of the infamous Harvey Updyke, Michelle Pritchett, John Phillips or Brian Downing. It is a false equivalancy to claim that all schools have such fans. That is just not true. Hell, the abovementioned knuckleheads are bama royalty. .
