Worst: the dog, Sundae, from those direct to VHS cartoons from the 90s

Please. In today's ads Birdie the Early Bird is like unto God. We all pray she will one day appear and smite the Sonic Douchebag Duo.

I forgot about the good ol days when McDonald's marketed to kids instead of low income urban communities

Just wildly racist by today’s standards, and if I recall correctly he wasn’t just a cartoon character, they had a real guy who portrayed the Frito Bandito.
The 70s weren’t afraid of racism.

Can’t tell if being sarcastic, but Mexican is not a race.

Then I really dodged a bullet by not using the word Mexican a single time in my post.
Hispanic, latino, etc.

Those aren’t races, either. They’re ethicities.

Thanks ever so much prof.
“While the concepts of race and ethnicity are considered to be separate in contemporary social science, the two terms have a long history of equivalence in both popular usage and older social science literature. "Ethnicity" is often used in a sense close to one traditionally attributed to "race": the division of human groups based on qualities assumed to be essential or innate to the group (e.g. shared ancestry or shared behavior). Therefore, racism and racial discrimination are often used to describe discrimination on an ethnic or cultural basis, independent of whether these differences are described as racial. According to a United Nations convention on racial discrimination, there is no distinction between the terms "racial" and "ethnic" discrimination.”
"International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination". Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Just like the tobacco companies, mcdonalds has their target market and they're sticking with it.
