Whats your solution?? Fire Mullen year 1. We would be on the hook with a HUGE buyout, plus we still have to pay off McElwain. Mullen had a good transition class, should be even better this year. If we dont have a top 10 class at the END of the cycle I will admit Mullen doesnt have IT. Untill then I'm hoping he succeeds and proves you wrong.

We're going to have to wait 3-4 years to fire him. I hope he proves me wrong too. It's extremely concerning that he's recruiting just like he did at MSU despite having some of the best resources available to him in the country.

I'm seriously starting to question my sanity -- TJ just posted 8 times in a row and you think this is the guy that you're going to get an honest debate out of?

It comes down to a really, really simple question: Do you think the recruiting class in June is indicative of what it will be in December?

I say no, and I think the vast majority of people would agree with me in saying that this conversation is absolutely worthless until September/October. It's my whole point. Maybe if we were in Chip Kelly's boat where we literally have zero commitments, but we're not. We're okay right now, and there's no need for us to wet our pants over it.

ETA: If you're a Gator fan, please stop by Jason Higdon's chat for real in depth Gator news. He answers questions, so if you have doubts about where we are right now he's the man to ask. He's directly involved with the recruiting process and, honestly, a better source than TJ.

This won't happen. Let me tell you a story about the recruitment of AJ Brown.

Brown will be a top 10 pick at WR next year, he is from Starkville but went to Ole Miss. He grew up a State fan and from what I have been told wanted to go to MSU. He ended up Ole Miss because they actually tried to recruit him.

Mullen assumed he would just come to MSU like other Starkville kids and did not put a lot of effort into Brown. In swoops Ole Miss who actually tried to recruit and that is how they ended up with him.

Same thing happened that cycle with Scott Lashley a 4* OL from nearby West Point. Heavsey did not really try and just assumed he would come to MSU.

State fans praised Mullen for his game management and offensive playcalling. It was great and did a great job developing players and QBs. However State fans have never praised him for recruiting, ever.

He is a lazy recruiter and despite being in Starkville, Moorhead is having no problems attracting out-of-state high level talent.
